Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of StoryEmbed, a service that displays Instagram stories on your website through an embeddable widget. StoryEmbed is operated by Story Embed, registered at Isidora Goyenechea 2800, Santiago, Chile ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.

The service

StoryEmbed retrieves the currently active stories of Instagram accounts you add to your dashboard and serves them through an iframe widget you place on your own website. Instagram stories expire after 24 hours; on the free plan your widget reflects that and empties when they do. Paid plans retain stories beyond that window as Highlights.

Your account

You sign in with Google. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live.

Instagram accounts you add

You may only add Instagram accounts that you own or are authorised to represent. You are responsible for having the rights to display that content on your website. Do not use StoryEmbed to republish someone else's content without their permission.

StoryEmbed is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. Instagram content remains the property of its respective owners, and your use of it is also subject to Instagram's own terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the service for unlawful, deceptive or infringing purposes
• attempt to disrupt, overload or reverse engineer the service
• resell or sublicense access without our written agreement
• circumvent plan limits or usage restrictions

Plans, trials and payment

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. New subscriptions include a 7-day free trial; unless you cancel before it ends, the plan converts to a paid subscription automatically.

Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as the merchant of record and authorised reseller for the service. Paddle handles payment, invoicing and applicable taxes, and its own terms apply to the transaction. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. Changes take effect at your next renewal.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you keep access until then, and the plan does not renew.

Availability

The service is provided "as is" and without a guaranteed uptime commitment. Because StoryEmbed depends on Instagram, changes on their side may interrupt or end our ability to retrieve stories. We will make reasonable efforts to maintain the service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where continuing to serve it would expose us to legal risk. You may close your account at any time.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in the dashboard before they take effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Chile, and disputes will be handled by the courts of Santiago, Chile.
